Orlistat prevents the absorption of fats taken with nutrients from the intestine by 30%. Thincal 120 mg is used in combination with a low-calorie light diet in the treatment of overweight patients. Treatment should be started within a 4-week period if at least 2.5 kg is given by diet alone.
